British singer-songwriter Tom Grennan first rose to fame via his appearance as guest vocalist on the Chase and Status track, “All Goes Wrong”. A year later, he released his debut album, Lighting Matches, which was one of the best-selling debut albums of 2018 and hit #5 on the UK Albums Chart. Produced by Grammy award winners Dan Grech-Marguerat (Liam Gallagher, Radiohead, Halsey, Lana Del Rey, The Kooks) and Fraser T. Smith (Adele, Sam Smith), Lighting Matches produced the snappy, string-laden single ‘Sober’ and its follow up ‘Barbed Wire’.
Grennan’s critically acclaimed UK #1 and BRIT-certified GOLD album Evering Road, features platinum-selling anthems “Little Bit Of Love” and special edition track “By Your Side” — both of which scored in the Top Three most played songs of 2021. Two nominations at the 2022 BRIT Awards followed, in the Alternative Rock/Rock Act category and Song of the Year. 2022 also saw a trifecta of hits, “Remind Me”, “Not Over Yet” with KSI and “Lionheart (Fearless)” with Joel Corry, all of which were named in The Biggest Songs of 2022 by The Official Big Top 40.
Released in June 2023, What Ifs & Maybes stands as the latest triumph from the renowned artist. Packed with infectious melodies and poignant lyrics, the album swiftly claimed the #1 spot on the UK Albums Chart, marking his second consecutive chart-topping success and third BRIT Award nomination. The album merges funk, rock, pop, soul, gospel and more, making these tracks his most vibrant songs to date, shaping personal experiences into a call for us all to find the confidence to turn moments of uncertainty and hardship into strength.
In celebration of the release, Grennan set off on his first headline arena shows in the UK, including London’s iconic O2 arena, and performed shows across Europe, selling over 180,000 tickets. The day after his album reached #1, Grennan made his Glastonbury debut and has since performed stellar shows at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Capital’s Summertime Ball and appeared live on The Graham Norton Show, and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
Showing no sign of slowing down, Tom Grennan is now gearing up to perform two unforgettable nights in Sydney & Melbourne.
