Sudan Archives is a musical project led by the multitalented singer-songwriter and violinist Brittney Denise Parks. The musical project began as a solo endeavour in 2017, with Parks writing and producing her own music in her apartment in Ohio.
Her unique blend of R&B, traditional African music, and experimental electronic sounds quickly caught the attention of the music world, and she released her debut EP Sudan Archives later that same year. Since then, Parks has expanded the Sudan Archives project to include a full band, featuring musicians from different parts of the world.
Sudan Archives has been praised for its genre-defying sound and socially conscious lyrics, with Parks drawing inspiration from her own experiences as a black woman in America. The band has performed at major festivals and venues around the world, including Coachella, Glastonbury, and the Hollywood Bowl. With a critically acclaimed debut album, Athena under their belt, Sudan Archives is one to watch. Catch the incredible live performance of Sudan Archives at exclusive headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney this July.

We respectfully acknowledge the original and traditional custodians of the lands on which our events take place. We also respectfully acknowledge elders both past, present and emerging.
