Irish singer, songwriter Dermot Kennedy has officially sold out the second Sydney date on his hugely anticipated Australian tour. Due to this overwhelming demand, Secret Sounds are thrilled to add a third and final Sydney show which will see the platinum-selling artist join Jack Johnson as the one of the only two acts to play the Sydney Opera House Forecourt a massive three times!

The welcomed news of Dermot Kennedy’s third Sydney date comes as The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) today confirms that the Irish artist will attend the 2023 Award ceremony to present the Telstra ARIA Music Teacher Award to its 2023 recipient.

“Hey Australia, it’s Dermot Kennedy here… I am so so happy to be a part of this year’s ARIA Awards at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney. I’ll be presenting the Telstra Teacher Of The Year Award… This one really holds a special place in my heart because I know how important my own teachers were in my life and how they nurtured my love for music at such a crucial time. I think teachers play such an important role in music and in society and so I’m really honoured to present this award. I can’t wait! I’ll see you there November 15.”
