Touring this July in Sydney and Melbourne, off the back of announcing Del Water Gap joining the Splendour in the Grass lineup, Australian fans of DWG will be treated to intimate shows at beloved venues; Howler in Melbourne and Oxford Art Factory in Sydney.
Del Water Gap is the solo project of American songwriter and producer S. Holden Jaffe. He began recording in a converted storage closet at his boarding school in upstate New York, releasing a self-produced EP in 2012 before moving to New York City to attend New York University’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music.
Del Water Gap has found critical acclaim from publications including NPR, GQ, MTV, and Esquire, who wrote “S. Holden Jaffe’s sweet voice is like love at first sight.”
Del Water Gap grew from a bedroom project to a nationally touring band. Since releasing the Don’t Get Dark EP in 2019, Del Water Gap has put out a series of singles, including Ode to a Conversation Stuck In Your Throat, deemed an “ear-worm track” by Vogue UK and Mariposa. In 2020 Jaffe released New Song with Maggie Rogers as part of her album Notes from the Archive: Recordings 2011-2016. He has also collaborated with Claud on the single My Body and co-wrote and produced Claud’s Never Meant To Call. In 2021, Del Water Gap released his self-titled debut album.
